Leskovac is the first City in Serbia to get Wastewater Management System

City on Veternica river will be the first one in Serbia to get Waste Management System according to the highest European standards.

In addition to the water line of the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (CWWTP), which construction was completed with the help of a donation from the European Union of 10.4 million euros, the state is investing almost another billion dinars in the line of sludge at this plant and the new main city collector.

Work on both of this projects are coming to an end of the next year, until the whole system begins to function as planned. The percentage of completed works on the sludge line is higher than 90 percent, and the workers were left to build roads and ground the so-called second phase of the CPPOV. Testing of two sludge digesters, construction of biogas tanks, all pipe connections and connection to the water line has been completed.
