What does the PPP project at the Vinča landfill include:
Diverting at least 340,000 tons of municipal waste annually to a waste-to-energy facility with delivery of electricity to the power grid and thermal energy to the district heating system of JKP Beogradske elektrane,
Construction of a sanitary landfill with an appropriate leachate treatment system and landfill gas utilization system, for the disposal of all remaining quantities of municipal waste,
Remediation of the Vinča landfill and its maintenance after closure,
Diverting at least 200,000 tons of construction and demolition waste annually to a new recycling facility that will produce material for construction and backfilling,
Treatment of wastewater in a leachate treatment plant
